ESL | English | Writing | Spanish & Art tutoring online & in person

Ben Bregman taught children in the Los Angeles area for over 4 years at the beginning of his career. He spent many years working as a Graphic designer and coder and came back to teaching in 2021. He has lifelong experience with Spanish. He started learning Spanish at 6 years old and his experiences learning the language really gives him a lot of insight into what the ESL students experiences are as they go through the language acquisition process.

Hi everyone I love teaching kids and adults. I use physical demonstrations to teach language to new language learners. I have a BFA from the University of California with a minor in Spanish. I am great at reading and writing lessons for creative writing, essays, or tests. I lived in Madrid, España for a while which helped me increase my Spanish knowledge as well as being a great, fun experience of living in another country. I find using a multi-level, multi-media approach allows for a richer learning experience. It helps hold the students attention and can be a bit of “fun” in learning for everyone.

I have over 7+ years of teaching all ages. I got my TEFL certificate in 2021 and I have been teaching English online and in person to all ages since then. I actually am a writer myself. I have been writing for many years and I recently took a few advanced writing classes. Please send me an email using this contact form if you are interested in doing lessons for adults, or children, in person or online. I have worked with high school students to develop essays for competitions and college entry admissions.

“Hi, I think that Ben is a trustworthy teacher because he considers and puts his students needs first. This is a great characteristic for a teacher to have, to be able to know your students, their needs, and wants help you to effectively, teach them the skills, provide them with the tools and help make them successful.

All the best Ben.

Perfect! Ben was really kind, respectful, and super helpful when he tutored my little sister in English (ESL). He was patient and easy to get along with. Ben worked hard to find the best way to teach her and the right materials to use. We are very happy with how he teaches and would recommend him to anyone who needs help. Down the road we are planning to do some regular online sessions with Ben, and he’s very flexible with either in-person or online. Thanks, Ben!”
